Update 8- It's Pin Time!

Hello!  We hope you all have been well!  It's that time many of you have been waiting for- pin sample photos! 

As a note, some of the previews might look different than the digital previews due to manufacturing (i.e. some pantones ended up a little different due to color mixing).  There were also a few pins that need major revisions; those we will not be sharing for the moment until they are prefect.  

Additionally, we have locked orders and charged cards.  If you need to make changes to your order (aside from address), please contact us through Kickstarter so we can update your order.  If you have not filled out your survey, please do so now.  Backers with incomplete surveys may not be guaranteed their desired pin choices.  Please do not wait on filling your survey; due to the nature of this project, we may not be able to fill orders at all if you wait longer than six months from the date we ship (shipping in October 2022, so April 2023) to complete your survey.

Now that we've covered all those details, let's look at some pins! 

The not photographed pins are Snow Leopard and Snake, which both received misplaced, strange glitter colors. They need new samples made before photographs can be taken.  As always, samples photos are an approximation of what you can expect to receive.  There may be some variation in color due to monitor settings.  

We hope you've enjoyed all the eye candy!  Additional updates:

• Companion book printing proofs received and approved.  Printing has begun!
• Companion book PDFs will be distributed through Backerkit after this update; please check your emails!
• Deck proofs will be completed soon.
• The majority of orders have been locked and cards charged.  Pin orders on completed pins above will proceed this week.
• Paperwork with GamesQuest has begun for overseas shipping organization.

Update 7 – Surveys are Going Out! + Progress Update!

Progress Update!

•  Backerkit has been opened for preorders for anyone who missed Kickstarter orders!
• If you are a Kickstarter backer, please purchase add ons while you are completing your survey if possible. It would help keep orders organized!
• Files are done and turned in for the deck. A hardcopy proof is ordered and will be mailed to us. 
• Files are done and turned in for the book. Hardcopy example sheets will be mailed to us. 
• Molds are being made for all twenty pins! And then a sample pin shall be made of each design for color checking.

So the long process of printing is underway! Progress will yet take a while though.

SURVEYS ARE GOING OUT!

Please try to respond to them as quickly as you’re able. The surveys are going out now because we must collect counts on what all pins everyone wants, as well as if any of you want add ons.

Please keep in mind we need counts early in order to produce the correct amount of pin designs and decks.  As a result, you have about two weeks to fill out the survey to guarantee the pin designs you would like.   Surveys will be locked and cards will be charged on August 8th.  Please make sure you fill out your surveys within a timely manner so we can get you everything your want.  Addresses will remain unlocked until we receive product.

ADD ONS

Forgot what you are receiving with your tier?  Backerkit makes a list so you can make sure of what you are receiving before checkout!  You can also add on additional pins, as well as some extra surprise goodies in this menu.

Speaking of add ons, we do have several new surprise items! Back when this project was at the interest check phase in early 2021, the most requested extra merchandise item was an altar cloth! So we have designed a simple, elegant, black and purple cloth which will match Loaf, and hopefully it will also fit well with your other tarot decks!

We've also added two original art pieces up for grabs in the shop!  Funding from these sales go directly to the artists, so please take a look!

Additionally requested was the option to purchase with paypal, which has been enabled on Backerkit! You can have a look as you complete your survey. C:

SHIPPING

Finally, when you check out through Backerkit, Backerkit's development team has kindly enabled two shipping profiles for you to choose from:  rates with and without tracking.

If you are outside the US and Canada, then this applies especially to you!  For US and Canadian customers, all shipments will be sent with tracking regardless of what you choose.  For everyone else, you can choose which option works best for you.  Orders outside of the US and Canada will be handled by GamesQuest and will ship from within the UK.  So you may not need to pay extra from trackable shipping if you are nearby.  Note: if you notice the rates are the same between a certain weight of tracked and untracked package, then that means only tracked rates are available.

Update 6 - The Kickstarter is Funded! ★ And What Comes Next?

Hello! Thank you for backing Loaf Tarot! We are very excited to say the project is funded and many stretch goals are unlocked! We made it all the way to funding every pin and even printing hardcover books! 

So what comes next?

Right now Kickstarter will be going through the process of collecting order payments! We expect that will probably take a week.

Hopefully a week from now we will be sending out Backerkit surveys! The surveys will collect your shipping info, which pins you want, and you will have the option to purchase add ons. We have a few things left to finalize on Backerkit, but we are mostly finished with it and ready to move forward.

For now, double check your Kickstarter payment method and see if it is still working? While Kickstarter finishes up the payment process, we are hard at work initiating many of our print orders! We are very excited to finally get this project printed!!

Lastly, during the campaign, we did a small interview for Enchanted Gypsy! They asked us a little about the creating of the deck, and what inspired us to make the idea a reality. Maybe you will like their article? Enchanted Gypsy is a website selling a pretty selection of decks, it also posts interviews with new deck creators. We are thankful they like Loaf Tarot!

And thank YOU, to every backer! You brought this project enough funding to go to print, even on nearly every stretch goal! We are very grateful!

Update 5 – This Kickstarter is nearly wrapping up! Double check your pledges!

Hello!! Wow this Kickstarter has come a long way in the last 28 days!! We are nearly done with the Kickstarter part of this project! It’s very exciting! As we write this, there are two enamel pins left to fund! They are the horse and the fish!

We also have pretty photos of three of the four starting pins! Here are the finished prototypes of the Salamander, the Rat, and the Ayam Cemani! They are really super pretty! We are so excited to actually get to have these pins!!

So what comes next???

• Check your pledge and make sure you like it! It is far easier to adjust pledges right now than it is after the Kickstarter! It looks like we miiiiight get to all 20 pins??? We hope? Do you want all 20?  You can change your tier right now! :D
• The Kickstarter closes! Yay!!!!
• We plan on sending surveys out very quickly after close of Kickstarter. The surveys will include which enamel pins you want, and if you want to add on any more items! We might have a special surprise new item we’ve been prepping for you in the Backerkit preorders!!! It is an item frequently requested to accompany tarot decks, which this project did not initially launch to include…. what could it be???
• The surveys also will include the dreaded SHIPPING CHARGES. Presently all tiers include US shipping. But shipping beyond the US will cost more. Please brace yourselves.  Since the boxes have been upgraded to magnetic fancy boxes, the shipping on decks will increase slightly.
• Surveys need to be completed in a timely manner: within two weeks of being sent.  We will be locking orders and charging cards after that time.  Please do not wait to fill out your survey.  Failure to do so may result in not receiving your desired pin choices.  If you do not fill out the survey within 1 year, we may not be able to fulfill your order.  
• Once you’ve completed your survey, the waiting begins. We will post updates as we move everything into printing! We still hope to be fulfilling US and Canada orders in October! GamesQuest will be doing fulfillment for Europe and Australia regions, more updates to come on when they will be doing shipping.

Update 4 – We’ve Unlocked Lots of Stretch Goals! EU Shipping is Available! Wholesale Decks for Shops are Available!

Since our last update several days ago, we have unlocked many pins! Have a look!

As we write this, we are closing in on that black wolf pin! And don’t forget, there shall be a box upgrade at 50,000$! We anticipate upgrading to a magnetic box that is made out of thicker box material.

Important news! Shipping to Europe is now available!

This update additionally affects shipments to the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. (US and Canada orders will still be shipped by us, the mods of this project.)

We are partnering with ShipQuest/GamesQuest to offer shipping to: EU, UK, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Australia, New Zealand, and Israel.  GamesQuest has shipment facilities in the UK and Germany, and it means Europe is now accessible! It also brings down the shipping cost to Australian and New Zealand destinations.  Additionally, we are able to ship to some countries our participating artists are from that we were not able to offer previously (Switzerland, Israel).

What countries are included in the European Union shipping option?
The European Union shipping option includes Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and Sweden.

Here are two charts to help you estimate your shipping cost.  Please locate your pledge, and then use the listed Pledge Level to find where you fall on the shipping estimate chart. The pledge level is related to what your order weighs. So for instance Pledge 1 is the lightest at one or two enamel pins. Pledge 6 is the heaviest at two books, two decks, and eight pins. This chart is just a rounded estimate; shipping prices are not set and may change slightly.  Additionally, while ShipQuest/Games Quest is making it easier for us to calculate and handle VAT in advance, these prices do not include VAT.

Many of our contributors hail from these now added countries, and we are glad to serve the audience cultivated by our contributors! We are sorry again it has taken so long to be able to add Europe. There were a lot of details to organize with GamesQuest!

As a reminder, shipping for all countries outside the US will be charged shipping at the end of the campaign.  Backing this campaign means you understand that you will have to pay shipping/VAT where applicable; refunds will not be given if you refuse to pay these charges when the bill is due.  Thank you for understanding!

Presently the Retailer tier is 200$ for 12 decks. This has been an occasionally asked for tier! Please message us with your shop info, as this tier is only available to shops (physical stores / convention retailers / online stores.)
